Virtual Reality
Soccer Game (Electronic Games)
On the heels of the
thrilling 2002 World Cup tournament, up-and-coming
Peles can now enjoy builiding their skills with
this interactive electronic soccer game that doesn't
require a computer. The game plugs directly into
your television, using the TV screen as the game
display. Up to two players wear special anklets
that are detected by the two tiny infrared sensors,
which translate the player's motions into movements
on screen. Juggling, dribbling, and kicks made by
the players are turned into realistic motions on
the screen--and the ball responds as if it has really
been kicked. It comes with three different games
to keep players on the ball: A single-player shoot-out
on goal, a juggling drill, and tournament play for
one or more players competing at the same time.
To add to the realism, a british "announcer" does
play-by-play commentary, bringing the spirit of
international competition to any family room. Requires
4 AA batteries. For ages 8 and up. 1" H x 4 1/2"
W x 4 1/2" L.
