Sunderland's
highly-rated keeper Thomas Sorensen has dropped a
major hint that all his thoughts of quitting the Black
Cats have been forgotten.
Danish
goalkeeper Sorensen alarmed Black Cats fans last season
with several statements suggesting he was looking
to quit the club this summer.
But following the arrival of Tore Andre Flo and a
host of other close season signings at The Stadium
of Light, Sorensen sounds intent on staying put.
"The signings of Tore and Marcus Stewart have
lifted all our spirits - fans and players," said
the great Dane.
"You could feel that during the game against
Manchester United on Saturday - the atmosphere at
the Stadium of Light was back to its best.
"It makes such a difference when the crowd are
right behind us.
"Flo's introduction was certainly responsible
for that, but the likes of Phil Babb, Matt Piper and
Stephen Wright have also given us a huge boost.
"I'm sure those results against Leeds and Manchester
United will give us the platform to push on and have
a good season. I'm delighted to be part of it."
