Arsene
Wenger's side lost five and drew one of six matches
away in Europe last season, despite going the whole
of the Premiership campaign unbeaten away from Highbury.
Many believe Bergkamp's absence due to his fear of
flying was a telling factor in that poor sequence
of results and, although there are no guarantees the
Dutchman will play in every away Champions League
game this season, his return to the starting line-up
on Wednesday will be a huge boost for the English
champions.
Arsenal will also welcome back captain Patrick Vieira
in the only other change from the side that beat Bolton
in dramatic fashion on Saturday. The French ace was
suspended for the visit of the Trotters but should
lead his side into battle in The Philips Stadion as
the Gunners look to build on their 2-0 victory over
Borussia Dortmund last week.
Kanu and Ray Parlour are most likely to miss out as
Bergkamp and Vieira return.
Arsenal
(probable): Seaman; Lauren, Campbell, Keown, Cole;
Wiltord, Vieira, Gilberto, Ljungberg; Bergkamp, Henry.
