Manchester
United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy is confident his
barren run will end soon after scoring just one Premiership
goal this season.
The
Dutch hot-shot's only top-flight strike this term
was a penalty against Middlesbrough but the former
PSV star is not too concerned at the moment.
He said: "I am not panicking. I have scored three
from eight games in all matches so I am not worried
about that.
"These things happen to strikers. There will
be times like last year when you score every game
and then periods when you don't."
Van Nistelrooy's strike partner Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
also knows the Red Devils have to start finding the
net more often after registering their worst start
in terms of goals in almost 30 years.
The Norway international added: "We have to sort
it out know. Last year we took too long before we
changed things.
"When we perform, dig in and play together as
a team we are the best in England but sometimes we
try to play too much.
"We want nice goals yet sometimes we have to
be more direct."
United's next chance to kick-start their league campaign
is on Saturday when Tottenham make the trip to Old
Trafford.
