Jimmy
Floyd Hasselbaink has stunned Chelsea by revealing that
he would like to quit the club to join Spanish giants
Barcelona.
The
formidable Blues frontman is keen to play in the Champions
League next season and wants to be part of new Nou
Camp boss Louis van Gaal's revolution.
Former Holland coach van Gaal - now in his second
stint at Barca - wants Hasselbaink to spearhead his
new-look strikeforce, and the chance to link-up with
his countryman Patrick Kluivert could potentially
see the former Leeds ace quit Stamford Bridge.
Hasselbaink said: "Barcelona are one of the big
clubs and Louis van Gaal one of the best coaches in
the world. We are talking about an excellent combination
and I would like to form part of it.
"At the moment, Barcelona have the potential
to win the Champions League and I could contribute
to that," the player told Spanish newspaper El
Mundo Deportivo.
