Harte Barca talk played down
Leeds have denied they are in talks with Spanish giants Barcelona over the reported £8m sale of defender Ian Harte.

The Republic of Ireland international had apparently caught the eye of Barcelona coach Louis van Gaal during the World Cup and there had been reports that United officials were in talks with their Spanish counterparts.
But Leeds on Wednesday insisted no such talks had taken place and Harte's agent also confirmed that there was "absolutely no interest" from the Catalans.
Harte is one of the players thought to be available for transfer if an acceptable bid is received, but he has figured prominently in the pre-season games and could yet cement his future at Elland Road under new boss Terry Venables.
