Babayaro finally banned
Tue 3rd December 2002, 13:17

Blues defender, Celestine Babayaro has been given a three-match ban after quest for an appeal failed.

The Nigerian international was given a red card in the match between Bolton Wanderers after an alleged elbowing of Frenchman Youri Djorkaeff.

With this ban, Babayaro is set to miss Chelsea's away match to both Middlesborough and Everton and a home match against Aston Villa.

Babayaro has previously blasted the French international for the red card but all expedition for video replays and pleas were abortive.

This doesn't sounds good to the ears of manager Claudio Ranieri especially when the Nigerian is in top form subsequently netting an important goal for Chelsea against Middlesborough to signal his return to limelight.
