Frustration for Wilkinson
Mon 27th January 2003, 12:29

Sunderland manager Howard Wilkinson was frustrated over his side's 3-3 draw to Blackburn Rovers in an FA Cup fourth round tie at Ewood Park.

Wilkinson's boys were almost on their way to snatch the victory, but a late-minute equaliser from Dwight Yorke made it a draw.

Wilkinson admitted that his team deserved to win because they had done enough, but they were somewhat unlucky.

Blackburn manager Graeme Souness was happy with his team as they came from behind to snatch a draw, more thanks to Dwight Yorke's equaliser.

He further stated that his team defended like strangers, but their performance was remarkable, despite their Worthington Cup lost to Manchester United last week.
