Beckham's ready play

Stand-in skipper David Beckham's return to the Manchester United side is almost certain as he returns from suspension.
Beckham, who missed United's miserable derby defeat due to suspension, is set to play against Bayer Leverkusen at Old Trafford. The Red Devils only need a draw to take the top spot away from Leverkusen and Alex Ferguson's team should be looking to re-pay the fans with a win in Europe, following a dismal performance against Manchester City.
Bechkham's return seems more than likely to push Phil Neville and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer out of the first team, while John O'Shea is looking to make a start in defence.
Last season’s losing finalists have won three European games in a row after losing to Manchester United 2-1 in Germany. Both teams are through to the last 16 but the match will be fiercely contested, as both teams want to finish top of the group.
Nicky Butt and Wes Brown have ankle injuries and Roy Keane has a hip injury and will miss the match due to injury.
