Bergkamp Faces FA ban
Mon 28th October 2002, 19:01

Arsenal playmaker Dennis Bergkamp could face a ban as the Football Association bosses will assess the stamping by Bergkamp on Blackburn Rovers defender Nils-Eric Johansson.

Bergkamp missed three games last season for a similar incident on Jamie Carragher in an Arsenal Vs Liverpool FA cup-tie.

A Football Association spokesman said: "We haven't received the referee's report yet, which will confirm if he didn't see the incident. The referee is the authority on the field of play, so we will look at the report and decide what further action, if any, is needed."

If the Flying Dutchman is found guilty for his offence he could be give a three-match ban for violent conduct.
