Niemi: I want to improve on my game
Mon 24th February 2003, 14:00

Southampton shot-stopper Antti Niemi has revealed his discontentment with his game, and he is ready to improve on goalkeeping competence, in a bid to help the Saints with their quest for a better season.

The Finnish goalie thinks he should improve in all goalkeeping departments, as he is more than ready to help the Saints achieve their goal.

According to the Saints' official website, the Niemi, 30, indicated that 'One on ones' is probably the area where he has been improving most.

"That is something that we work on in training a lot with the goal keeper coach and we talk about it a lot", he stressed.

On the other hand, Southampton lost 2-1 to Everton in a Premiership tie on Saturday.
