Ljungberg out of Ajax clash
Mon 17th February 2003, 13:16

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has completely ruled out midfielder Freddie Ljungberg from tomorrow's Champions League clash with Dutch club Ajax.

The Swedish international midfielder has been out of action since December 21 due to injuries and illness. He was expected to be back to action in the Gunners' 2-0 win over rivals Manchester United, but a late fitness test disqualified him.

However, Wenger thinks featuring Ljungberg in tomorrow's match might be risky, as the midfielder felt some pains after the reserve match with Ipswich Town.

Wenger told Arsenal's website that Ljungberg is out inasmuch as he will not be available for Tuesday.
