Everton: Second bid for Healy
Sat 1st February 2003, 09:50

Everton has recently passed on another bid in order to sign Celtic midfielder Colin Healy before the transfer window closes.

The transfer window is expected to close today - February 1 - but Everton's keenness to sign Healy still holds.

Everton have formally passed a £150,000 bid for the 22-year-old midfielder who is currently out of contract, but the bid was rejected.

Due to Everton's strong quest to sign the Republic of Ireland international, they passed on another bid, which they are hoping is considered before the transfer window closes.

However, if it doesn't work out well for the Toffees at the moment, they will be forced to wait till the summer, if they still want to sign Healy.
