Sherwood's agent to hold talks with Albion
Tue 28th January 2003, 12:15

Current Premiership strugglers West Bromwich Albion may still sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tim Sherwood before the transfer window closes at the end of this month.

It has been noticed that Sherwood's agent Eric Hall will be in contact with the Baggies to hold talks referencing the resumption of the deal.

Hall, in a brief disclosure, stated that they are in contact with West Brom concerning Sherwood's deal.

Previously, it seems Sherwood was on his way to join current First Division leaders Portsmouth, but at the moment, his quest to join the Baggies looks sanguine.

For now, Albion boss Gary Megson has only signed Nigeria international defender Ifeanyi Udeze on loan from PAOK Salonika and he may be keen to sign Sherwood, thus accomplishing his goal to bring in new blood to the team.

West Brom lost 1-0 to Watford in a FA Cup fourth round tie in the weekend.
