Davies optimistic for a move
Mon 27th January 2003, 12:29

Southampton's FA Cup hero Kevin Davies is optimistic that his recent performance at the FA Cup fourth round will help him with a move from Southampton this week.

Davies saved Southampton from a defeat, after he came from the bench to score with just two minutes remaining, thus helping the Saints with a draw to First Division Millwall.

Steve Claridge put the First Division side ahead with a 17th-minute strike, but the Saints were able to snatch a draw, gratitude to Kevin's equaliser.

Davies has previously spent two months on loan at Millwall before coming back to St. Mary.

He is therefore hoping he leaves the club this week following his good performance at the FA Cup.
