Wanchope set to comeback
Thu 23rd January 2003, 12:32

Paulo Wanchope is now ready to return to action for his club Manchester City after going through treatment to rectify a knee injury.

The Costa Rican international striker is now expected to resume training with the City squad early next month.

Wanchope was an important figure in assisting his country to make a quite creative participation in the World Cup last year.

He underwent a surgical operation after the World Cup in order to correct a knee problem.

Wanchope overtly disclosed that he has been told to wait by City's medical team because they want him to be fully fit.

"I agreed with them because I want to return as strong physically and mentally as possible", he stressed.
