Ferdinand joins Hammers

Tottenham Hotspur player Les Ferdinand has completed his move to Premiership strugglers West Ham for an undisclosed fee.

The signing of Ferdinand was part of the aims of West Ham boss Glenn Hoddle to stop his team from been relegated.

The 36-year-old striker has only managed five starts for Spurs this season.

Roeder wants Ferdinand to play an imperative role in stopping his team from been relegated.

Roeder overly disclosed that his objective to bring Ferdinand to Upton Park was planned long ago, and the reopening of the transfer window made things happen.

Ferdinand has undergone a medical checkup and trained with his new team-mates.
