Jemson double surprises Everton
Sun 5th January 2003, 16:12

Shrewsbury striker Nigel Jemson surprised Premiership side Everton with his double that completely eliminated the Goodison Park boys out of the FA Cup with a 2-1 victory at Gay Meadow.

Jemson's 38th-minute free-kick and an 89th-minute header was enough to deny Everton the chance to proceed to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Though Everton equalised in the hour mark through Dunbavin, however, it wasn't enough, as they couldn't put their hands together when it mattered most.

Nevertheless, Jemson threw the winning goal in the late minute of the second half.

There is no doubt that the double from Jemson was a great disaster to Everton, who are now having winning worries in the Premiership, hence they are placed 5th position in the table behind Newcastle, Chelsea, Manchester United and champions Arsenal.
