Blackburn Rovers manager Graeme Souness has showed great optimism in keeping key player Damien Duff away from the transfer window.
Meanwhile the transfer window reopened January 1, Premiership giants Manchester United and Liverpool showed interest in the Rep. of Ireland international but their 16 million pounds asking price was made a mere overture as Duff renewed his contract to stay in Rovers.
Souness told reporters that he hasn't got enough money to spend in the transfer market but looks forward to sealing a loan deal by next week.
However, Rovers have being doing well in the league as they have become disasters to top clubs, while taking reference to their 2-1 and 1-0 humiliation of champions Arsenal and title racer Manchester United respectively.
