Houllier to spend £15m on transfers

Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier is estimating an amount of £15m to spend on the transfer market when in opens in January next year.

It has been noticed that Charlton Athletic's Paul Konchesky currently heads Houllier's scale of preference.

Houllier prospects a better Liverpool squad after he had carried out the transfer signings in January.

Presently, Houllier's boys are 5th in the table behind local rivals Everton and three other bitter rivals Chelsea, Manchester United and champions Arsenal.

Liverpool tackles Arsenal today at Highbury in what had been described as a decisive match by a lot of fans and spectators.
