Vieira may return against Boro
Wed 18th December 2002, 13:52

Arsenal midfield ace Patrick Vieira is expected to be back in the Premiership tie with Middlesborough after been out for one week due to injury.

The French international suffered the injury in their goalless draw with Valencia in a Champions league clash.

Words from manager Arsene Wenger reference the need for Vieira's comeback in order to rest Brazilian Gilberto Silva.

Players like Edu and Ray Parlour are also back to normal fitness hence more challenges on whom to feature in the midfield as stressed by the French tactician.

The match against Boro seems important focusing on the fact that bitter rivals Manchester United are also back on the title race that's why Arsenal are conscious of everything.
