Beckham Misses City Match
Mon 28th October 2002, 03:39

Football's golden boy David Beckham will miss the last Manchester derby to be held at Maine Road through suspension.

The England International and Manchester United midfielder picked up his fifth booking of the season in yesterdays 1-1 draw with Aston Villa at Old Trafford , and must now serve an automatic one-match ban for the November 9 clash.

Beckham scored the winner at the last Manchester derby to be held at City's home ground two seasons ago, and his absence will pain manager Sir Alex Ferguson who will be without Roy Keane and Nicky Butt.

The Blues move to their new City of Manchester Stadium next season, after 80 years at Maine Road.
