Wenger: Kanu not 100% fit
Fri 6th December 2002, 15:28

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that forward Nwankwo Kanu is not fully fit to play in Saturday's Premiership clash with bitter rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Nigerian international has been sidelined for about three weeks due to a knee injury and has missed a number of matches for Arsenal.

Though, he played in a exhibition game that saw him scoring two of goals of their 3-0 win, he might not future in Saturday's all important tie.

Wenger furtherly disclosed the fact that he lanky player is not fully fit and a match against a team like United involves the use of players that are more than fit.

In the light of the above, Kanu may miss the tie with United; and a possible miss is also likely to reference players like Ray Parlour, Lauren Mayer and Ashley Cole who have been injured too.
