One match ban for Shearer

Newcastle's forward Alan Shearer has been given a one match Champions league ban after several appeals constantly emerged the result.

Shearer was charged by the UEFA disciplinary committee in Newcastle's 1-4 loss to Italian giants, Inter Milan after an alleged elbowing of Cannavaro.

Though Shearer admitted that he didn't do it intentionally and that he was trying to free himself of the hands of Cannavaro. This almost resulted to him been pardoned.

Due to several complaints and restraints, the former England skipper is expected to miss one match in Newcastle's Champions league ties.

Bobby Robson have another player, Craig Bellamy also sent off in that match and he is expected to miss the services of both Alan Shearer and Craig Bellamy.
