Cheyrou injured
Fri 29th November 2002, 18:31

Liverpool's Bruno Cheyrou will be out for some weeks after a groin strain in their UEFA Cup win over Vitesse Arnhem.

The French international is determined to miss Liverpool's clash with rivals, Manchester next month.

Bruno Cheyrou will be out for the next two weeks after injuring his groin in Liverpool's UEFA Cup win over Vitesse Arnhem.

This doesn't sounds good for manager Gerard Houllier considering the fact that Liverpool hasn't got a win since the past two games.

However, with reference to Houllier's words, he is not under pressure as he has other players that can take the place of the Frenchman.

Bruno Cheyrou was carried out with a stretcher after the injury, but it doesn't see it as a setback to his career in Anfield.

He is also set to miss the return leg in Vitesse, Worthington clash with Ipswich and the away match to Charlton Athletic.
