Shearer charged for elbowing Cannavaro

Newcastle's forward, Alan Shearer has been charged by the UEFA Disciplinary Committee for a suspected elbowing of Inter Milan's defender Fabio Cannavaro.

The incident happened in the 26th minute of the Champions league clash between Newcastle and Inter Milan.

The UEFA furthering investigation on the incident and it has been discerned that if Shearer is found guilty, he will miss Newcastle's next three matches.

The said match also saw another Newcastle forward Craig Bellamy been involved an incident that resulted to his sent off. However, Shearer was only given a yellow card.

Moreover, it was a frustrating game for Newcastle as they lost 1-4 at home to the Italian giants.
