Manchester United came back from a 1-0 deficit to smuggle home the three points from Basle, thanks to Ruud Van Nistelrooy's two spectacular goals.
Basle revived the game in the just less than a minute into the game to signal warning to the Old Trafford boys.
United arose to a competition striking and attacking game which game rise to a 61st minute equaliser from Nistelrooy.
The Dutch forward didn't stay calm but increased the tally to 2 in the 63rd minute.
This was a reward for Basle, a team that went into elaborations after taking the lead.
The hope of Basle equalising was made a fantasy in the 68th minute when Norwegian striker, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer banged the last goal to smuggle home the three points.
Alex Ferguson admitted his contention with the game and disclosed future progress for United and didn't seize to shower praises on the two-goal hero Ruud Van Nistelrooy.
