It was a complete stoppage of bullets from the mouth of a gun as Beattie’s two strikes placed the gunners in a state of enigma.
Bergkamp’s 37-minute volley didn’t kidnap the points but increased the agitation of Beattie and his colleagues.
However, the game was levelled when Beattie struck home from 25-yard to emerge a magnificent equaliser.
It was a bad day for Sol Campbell who was given a red card in the 59th-minute after a rough tackle on Delgado. This sure caused a lot of trouble for the London boys and consequently resulted to a penalty kick that saw Beattie increasing the number of goals to two.
Ten minutes later, Delgado bagged home from the far post the third goal that smuggled the three points from Arsenal.
In just nine minutes for the game to climax, Robert Pires who came in for Bergkamp stuck in another goal but it just couldn’t help matters.
After this loss, Arsenal are still leading the table with just one points ahead of Liverpool who also lost 2-3 to Fulham.
