Bowyer's prospective move to City is doubtful
Fri 22nd November 2002, 17:14

Manchester City may not sign Leeds United’s Lee Bowyer when the transfer market open on January as the striker has rejected the deal.

City’s manager, Kevin Keegan who is enthusiastic to strengthen Manchester City’s squad in January by signing Lee Bowyer may have to look for another player or wait till the end of the season.

Lee Bowyer’s deal with Leeds United expires next summer and does not intend moving to City.

Despite all probabilities, Keegan is still eager to go into the transfer market when it opens in order to get a better player to reinforce his squad.
