Bergkamp passes fitness test
Thu 21st November 2002, 15:31

Dennis Bergkamp whose fitness was a questionable topic after Arsenal’s 3-0 walloping of Tottenham may play against Southampton on Saturday after several tests showed that the Dutchman didn’t sustain any injury to his ribs.

Bergkamp who was pulled out in Saturday’s match for Pires after colliding Dean Richards, is likely to join the Arsenal’s attack on Saturday at St. Mary’s.

The Arsenal attack is expected to be manned by Thierry Henry and Sylvain Wiltord as Kanu’s fitness is still doubtful.

This means that Arsene Wenger will use the same squad that faced Tottenham in the weekend and there may be a possible inclusion of Nwankwo Kanu.
