Mustoe In Talks
Mon 18th November 2002, 17:05

Robbie Mustoe's 3 month spell at Charlton is nearly over as his contract comes to an end.

Chalton manager Alan Curbishley and Mustoe are to have a talk about his future to decide if he has a future at the Premier League strugglers. Mustoe has had a run in the first team at the club, but has recently picked up yet another injury. With no money to spend this winter, Curbishley may opt to offer him another similar contract, but there have been tabloid rumours that Mustoe wants to return to the north east and join Sunderland as a short term replacement for Claudio Reyna.

The former Middlesborough midfielder is said to have not taken to London and would like a return to the north east.

Mustoe will have a chat with Curbishley at some point this week to decide where his future lies.
