Newcastle United striker Craig Bellamy has flown to Colorado in the US for treatment on his knee. The Former Coventry City had the same injury problem in February, which kept him out for 7 months.
He is set to see the surgeon who cured his Newcastle United teammate Alan Shearer injury troubles.
Newcastle United manager Sir Bobby Robson is very confident the injury problems are not serious and thinks he will not require an operation.
"Bellamy's trip is just a precautionary one and my feeling is the current problem will not require an operation.
"It's just to establish that nothing needs to be done.
"I can't see it being a major problem," Sir Bobby added.
