Manchester United were manoeuvred to the semi-finals of the Worthington Cup after defeating rivals Chelsea, thanks to the only goal from Diego Forlan.
The Uruguayan international has become an instrumental finishing figure in the United squad following his previous double that completely humiliated bitter rivals Liverpool at Anfield and the winner he scored that defeated Chelsea at Old Trafford.
The topmost glory of this victory is that United will be bagging their first semi-finals in the Worthington Cup since eight years.
United manager Sir Alex Ferguson admitted his contentment with the victory and disclosed that Chelsea played a good match hence complimenting both Forlan (the goal hero) and Silvestre who was voted man-of-the-match.
