Presently cash-strapped Premiership side Aston Villa is currently planning on how to sign Real Betis midfielder Joey Gudjonsson.
This prospective talk to sign Gudjonsson is foreseen to be done quickly especially when both parties are aware that the transfer market closes on February 1.
It was noticed that Betis are ready to release the Iceland international on whatever terms Villa agree.
Gudjonsson joined Betis two years ago for £5million from RKC Waalwijk, thus becoming Iceland most expensive player.
According to reports, it was perceived that Gudjonsson has also been linked to Charlton Athletic, so he is expected to join either of both sides before the transfer window closes.
Villa manager Graham Taylor had previously disclosed his intention to strengthen his squad because they are not doing quite well in the league. But he is aware that he has to sell before he can buy due to the club's present financial enigma.
