Submitted By Ndubuisi on Friday 7th February 2003

Leeds United striker Mark Viduka will now serve a three-match, after loosing the appeal against his sending-off in an FA Cup tie with Gillingham.

The Australian international was charged for violent conduct by the English FA after elbowing Gillingham player-manager Andy Hessenthaler in both sides' 1-1 draw at Priestfield.

Resort to the ban, Viduka will miss two Premiership games against West Ham United and Newcastle United, including an FA Cup fifth round clash with Crystal Palace.

At the moment, Leeds boss Terry Venables important thought will be on whom will replace Viduka in attack.
