Tony: Hammers must win
Submitted By Ndubuisi on Saturday 22nd February 2003

Tony Gale presumes that a defeat at the Hawthorns on Sunday would be unbelievable, as the match seems imperative to West Ham.

Tony also believes that they are capable of closing the gap on Bolton Wanderers who are fourth to the bottom of the league table.

While remarking the importance of the match, Tony revealed the readiness of the players to get victory, despite the fact that they will be without Frenchman Kanoute and possibly Joe Cole.

Meanwhile, West Bromwich Albion are still desperate for victory, as they are on the rim of making up for their recent defeat to Fulham - the Cottagers.

But Tony thinks the match is going to go the Hammers' way, because they have to start winning in order to avoid relegation, hence manager Glenn Hoddle is ready for the task.

Although Bolton are five points clear of the Hammers, and they face Manchester United at the Reebok Stadium today, but Tony's sanguinity for the Hammers leaving the relegation zone remains constant.
