Toda to train with Black Cats

Japanese midfielder Kazuyuki Toda is expected to train with Premiership strugglers Sunderland next two weeks in order to manifest a movement to the English club.
Sunderland manager Howard Wilkinson is also alleged to be happy with Toda's move to the Premiership, especially when the 25-year-old can operate on the defensive midfield.
Toda is likely to arrive at Sunderland tomorrow so that he can prepare early enough for the planned training session.
However, Toda will feel at home, as his Japanese colleague Inamoto is also in the Premiership with Fulham after he left Arsenal last year.
Toda is currently playing for Shimizu S-Pulse, a club in the J-League in Japan. |
