Toda joins Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur have signed Japanese international midfielder Kazuyuki Toda on a one-year loan deal.
He was also given a work permit along with the deal. The deal, however, went through after Toda passed a medical test in the weekend.
Toda plays for Shimizu S-Pulse and he played an imperative role in the enterprising and successful performance of Japan in the 2002 World Cup.
The 25-year-old joins his fellow Japanese compatriot Junichi Inamoto in the Premiership. Inamoto plays for current Premiership battlers Fulham.
Toda will now unite with his colleagues in Spurs to help the club improve in their current position.
