First Division stugglers Derby have managed to ease their wage bill by offloading star goalie Mart Poom to Sunderland for a two month loan, with a view to a January transfer window transfer.
He has joined injury ridden Sunderland after Thomas Mhyre was injured last week. Him and Thomas Sorensen were the two top goalies at the club, but are both long term injury victims, leaving 3rd choice Jurgen Macho as the only injury free first team goalie at the club. Youngsters Michael Ingham and Craig Turns are said to be too inexperienced to play in the first team.
Poom is expected to sign permanently in January, as the tabloids suggest Thomas Sorensen will be going to Arsenal in the winter. Poom is a former premiership goalie and will no doubt make an impression on Wearside. |
