Stuart anxious to play
Submitted By Ndubuisi on Sunday 23rd February 2003

Charlton Athletic midfield player Graham Stuart will have to wait for another day to make a first comeback after a planned reserve team friendly was postponed due to an unfavourable weather state.

The player who is recovering from a cruciate knee injury was expected to make a first appearance for about six months against Third Division club Rushden & Diamonds, but a frozen pitch made the quest abortive.

Perquisite to this, Stuart, 32, may now make a first comeback game, presumably against Arsenal at The Valley on February 26.

Meanwhile the Addicks are now happy following their 3-0 win over Aston Villa that helped them climb up the table to 6th position.
