A striker is Megson's transfer target
Submitted By Ndubuisi on Tuesday 24th December 2002

West Brom manager Gary Megson has disclosed that he will need a striker when the transfer window opens in January next year.

This is possibly due to the poor scoring form of the team as they have only 12 goals from 17 Premiership games.

In order to achieve better results and improve the striking force of the team, Megson is desperate to sign a striker next month.

He also emphasises the fact that if the wages and transfer fee of the potential striker is affordable by the club, then there will be no cause for agitations.

Though the Baggies have some quality strikers in the persons of Scott Dobie and Jason Robers, both of them have scored three goals apiece, however Megson searches for another striker to partner with them and possibly strengthen their goal scoring ability.
