Submitted By Ndubuisi on Tuesday 7th January 2003

Birmingham City midfielder Robbie Savage has promised to defy his knee ligament injury and face reality in order to help his club improve in their present struggling state in the league.

The Welshman disclosed his willingness to also improve his present disciplinary record in the squad after undergoing a suspension from five bookings.

The former Leicester player has eight yellow cards already, and he told reporters that he plans avoiding the 10th in order not to undergo another ban.

Birmingham will tackle league leaders and defending champions Arsenal in a Premiership tie come January 12.

Savage and his colleagues have admitted the imperativeness of the match with the Gunners and they are going to give their best.
