Roeder says he is staying
Submitted By Sandeep on Sunday 10th November 2002

Glenn Roeder vowed to battle on as West Ham manager after dire defending led to a 4-3 defeat against Leeds at Upton Park.

Roeder made it perfectly clear that he has no intention of quitting after watching his side lose at home for the fifth side this season.

When asked if he felt his future was in jeopardy, Roeder replied: “Those are decisions that are made by other people.

These questions are asked all the time by the media and I understand that. I'm very much under the spotlight but it's for other people to make decisions on that.

"This is a fantastic job and I'll keep working hard and doing my best. The players have to keep doing that too. We'll work hard in training and pick ourselves up.''
