No charge for Boro
Submitted By Ndubuisi on Monday 3rd February 2003

The English Football Association have disclosed that there will be no charge for Middlesbrough over the postponement of their home game against Newcastle.

It was previously thought that Boro will be charged by the FA for the postponement of the game, but an FA spokesman Adrian Bevington disclosed yesterday that the FA will not investigate any matters concerning the postponement of the Barclaycard Premiership game involving Boro and Bobby Robson's Newcastle.

The game was cancelled before lunchtime on Friday for safety reasons, due to harsh and unfavourable weather conditions in North England.

Boro who are currently having some injury problems are desperately ready for Bobby Robson's boys, as the match seems imperative to them.

For Newcastle, they intend using this match to consolidate their position in the table, as they are currently placed third behind Manchester United and reigning champions Arsenal.
