Ruud Van Nistelrooys hat trick coupled a complete 5-3 thundering of Newcastle at Old Trafford.
There was not much to say, as it was a sudden aperture for the Old Trafford boys that dislocated the joints of the Bobby Robsons side.
Despite the absence of big names like David Beckham, Roy Keane, Rio Ferdinand and likewise Juan Veron who was made to start from the bench due to his late arrival from Japan.
Match statistics and information showed that both sides persuaded a not too good defence that gave birth to a total of seven goals.
Alan Shearer and Bellamy found the net for Newcastle in the second half after Olivier Bernard had levelled the visitors in the first period.
Three goals from Nistelrooy, one goal each from both Paul Scholes and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer were enough to set Old Trafford alarm.
Alan Shearer goal made it a total of 100 Premiership goals for Newcastle but it just couldnt find them a point.
Alex Ferguson will be quite relieved with this win after been in tension for past matches.
