Premiership title worriers Liverpool are waiting for results from tests to know how long midfielder Dietmann Hamann will be out after he picked a shin injury in their 2-1 loss to strugglers Sunderland.
The German international came-off for John Arne Riise because of the injury as disclosed by manager Gerard Houllier.
He said Hamann got a knock on his shin and so couldn't continue the match hence he was substituted.
Hamann who has played most games for Liverpool may miss the Christmas season, however tests will evaluate the period he will miss.
For Liverpool who are facing difficult times in the league, loosing a player like Hamann may cause worse problems, that's why they are worried. |
