League to discuss Addicks' complaint

The English Premier league officials will meet today to discuss about the complaint from Charlton Athletic about Chelsea's pitch.

The Addicks fired a complaint for a rematch after they lost 4-1 to the Stamford Bridge boys on Saturday. Saying that the game was played in a pitch with sanded-surface instead of grass.

The League's three-man board will meet today to look into the issue. The board comprises the Chief Executive Richard Scudamore, Chairman Dave Richards, and Secretary Mike Foster.

Chelsea are also expected to provide their own evidence as regards the case.

Charlton claimed that the game was played due to the fact that the pitch meets the standard of been 'flat'.

And that it was alleged that Chelsea trained in the pitch before the match, and also because they were not informed about the nature of the pitch, a replay is needed.
