Defender Rob Edwards is now ready to renew his contract with his present club Aston Villa following his impressive and promising performance in the squad.
Villa assistant manager John Deeban admitted that, Edwards, 20, has really proved himself above all expectations and the club has no option but to renew the contract.
Deeban complimented Edwards' effort in the last three games, saying Edwards was great.
"It has been progress from a player we didn't expect it from."
Although Villa are out of the FA Cup, the fighting spirit of the team goes on.
Edwards, a right-back has been having some different position thoughts from manager Graham Taylor, as he sees Edwards as a centre-back order than a right-back.
Meanwhile Villa skipper Steve Staunton is expected to go through another surgery in his ankle despite the hernia operation he has already undergone. |
