Premiership giants Manchester United were denied their quest to close the gap between them and league leaders Arsenal as they fell 1-0 to Blackburn Rovers, thanks to Garry Flitcroft 40th minute strike.
With this loss, United are now four points clear from the Gunners who defeated Middlesborough 2-0, more credits to the match-winner strike from defender Sol Campbell.
Though the Old Trafford boys gave good account of themselves but just couldn't get the ball into the net. Consequently they dropped 3rd in the table also behind Ranieri's Chelsea who defeated Aston Villa 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.
It was a good time for Arsenal who now top the table as the Christmas season climaxes, this they haven't done for the past 6 years.
