Arsenal forward Dennis Bergkamp has escaped ban after been charged by the FA for stamping Blackburn Rovers Nils-Eric Johansson in his side's 2-1 loss in October at Highbury.
The Dutch striker was expected to be banned for three matches however, he was not punished by referee Graham Barber thus more espousal to his claim for innocent.
He was fined £5,000 and warned against conduct in subsequent matches due to the fact that the incident was referred to as improper rather than violent conduct hence Bergkamp was spared.
Dennis Bergkamp is now more than likely to feature in an important Premiership tie with Middlesborough this weekend. |
